All About Me ::

I am a very new mom learning to navigate my way through the world in my new role.  Before baby I spent my free time trying new restaurants around town with my husband of four years, going to concerts {my fave}, shopping at Highland Village, reading chick-lit, working out at Define, and volunteering with the Junior League of Houston.  I still love all of those things, but am currently finding fun new ways to incorporate my bundle of joy into my routine.  I work full-time during the week in the healthcare industry.  I attended the University of North Texas for my undergrad and Houston Baptist University for my masters…any fellow alums out there?

I drink too much Starbucks coffee, buy too much Lululemon, make too many lists, and watch way too much reality TV {usually on Bravo}.  I am obsessed with the AT&T commercials with the kids chatting in a circle…so funny!  My brain is full of useless pop culture trivia and celebrity gossip…I win any shower game that is celebrity related to the point of embarrassment.  I love weird names yet ended up giving my son a very traditional one…my husband won that battle. {Watch out second child!}  I am a social media junkie {@ChelseaPurifoy on Twitter & Instagram}…stop by and say hello.  You can also find me over at The Perfect Catch Blog.  I am a wife, blogger, daughter, friend, and now…a mom!

Best Thing About Houston ::

As a native Houstonian, I could go on and on about all that Houston has to offer; however, if I must pick just one – it has to be the variety.  We have something for everyone.  Between all of our sports teams, live music venues, restaurants, parks, shopping, and museums – if you can’t find something that gets you excited, I probably need to check your pulse…but don’t worry, we have the best medical center in the world for that too!

I’ve lived all over the city.  I grew up in the Cypress/Tomball area…Go Cy-Creek Cougars!  After four years in Denton for college, I moved to the Galleria area.  As a newlywed, I was an inner-looper, and now as a mom…I’m in the ‘burbs.  My point is, I know Houston and love all of its unique areas.

Children of Mine ::

Jack – Boy.  4 months.  I can’t believe Mr. Jack Grayson has only been in our lives for four months.  I already can’t imagine life without him.  I loved carrying him around for ten months {well, maybe not those last few weeks when I was on bed rest and a no sodium diet}.  He is the happiest baby that I’ve ever met.  He loves to eat, play, go for walks, and listen to his crazy mother try to sing.  He is especially fond of watching ceiling fans.  We aren’t sure just yet if Jack will be a big brother or a one hit wonder, but we sure are enjoying this precious first year with him.

Tucker – Boy.  Chihuahua.  10 years.  I know, I know.  Dogs don’t really count, but before Jack came on the scene, Tucker was my baby.  I know all animal lovers can relate!  I often talk about Tucker, so I wanted you to know about him too.  Tucker loves sleeping, eating, and chasing critters in the backyard.  He isn’t a huge fan of children {like most Chihuahuas}, but luckily has been great with Jack so far….phew!
