Celebrating Women in Medicine for Women’s History Month

Houston Moms truly values our partnership with Next Level Urgent Care as a trusted mainstay for fast, friendly medical care!

We all know women are capable of being anything.

Strong athletes, talented artists, capable activists, compassionate doctors.

As we wrap up Women’s History Month, Houston Moms is thankful to work with Next Level Urgent Care, one of the very few women physician-led urgent care organizations in Texas, as we spotlight some incredible women in medicine. These intelligent doctors are reminders that women are able to juggle family time while caring for the health of their fellow Houstonians.

Let’s learn a bit more about some of the leading women in medicine who make history and a brighter future every day at Next Level Urgent Care.

Dr. Juliet Breeze

Dr. Breeze is the founder and CEO of Next Level Urgent Care. She is a primary care physician with over 20 years of healthcare experience.

Not only is she focused on providing outstanding health care to Houston through her comprehensive orthopedics practice, rehabilitation hospital and several surgical centers, she is so much more.

Dr. Breeze’s philanthropic efforts are incredibly noteworthy. Her focus on charities that serve the needs of women and children solidifies her as an admirable woman in medicine.

As a wife and mother of four, it can’t be easy to focus on the health needs of the community, make incredible strides in Next Level Urgent Care’s trustworthy reputation and provide resources and insights to Houston Moms.

Somehow, Dr. Breeze manages to do it all!

Dr. Robbyn Traylor

Dr. Robbyn Traylor is the first Chief Medical Officer for Next Level Urgent Care. She joined the Next Level Urgent Care family in 2014 and has made a name for herself as the epitome of excellence.

With a sincere focus on creating efficient and effective healthcare for all of Houston, Dr. Traylor’s innovative approach has improved the patient experience at Next Level Urgent Care.

From being open seven days a week for extended hours, to the Next Level Urgent Care app, Houstonians can get the services they need conveniently and on their schedules!

Along with being a leading woman in medicine, Dr. Traylor is a wife and mother of two daughters!

Dr. Karen Rakers

Dr. Karen Rakers is primary care physician, as well as the managing director of Employee Health Services, at Next Level Urgent Care.

Dr. Rakers supports many philanthropic efforts, including the March of Dimes, The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, Parks Youth Ranch and the Fort Bend County Women’s Center as a philanthropic member of the Houston community.

In 2019, she was awarded the Yellow Rose of Texas Award from Gov. Greg Abbott. This prestigious award is granted to those women excelling in community volunteerism amid career and family.

As a mother of three with more than 15 years of experience as a primary care physician, specializing in family medicine, Dr. Rakers also oversees five employee health clinics for the Next Level Urgent Care and works to expand access to quality care through video clinics with digital diagnostic equipment for employers.
