Even though I own a Cricut and what seems like 50 bottles of finger paint, I actually do not consider myself a crafty mom. Messes tend to make me panic, but my children love to create, so I try my best to indulge them when I can. Here are some fall crafts that the entire family can work on together that are fun AND useful:
- Pantyhose Pumpkins — This was a suggested reel for me on Instagram, and I 100% clicked on it and got sucked in. You got me, Babs! Pro tip: get fake gourds and pumpkins at Michaels to create this craft!
- Celery Print Cards — I always have at least one sad celery heart languishing in the fridge… anyone else? Instead of tossing your old celery, use it to create one of these precious celery print cards! These would be great name cards for your Thanksgiving dinner!
- Dollar Tree Pumpkin Wreath Craft — The Dollar Tree has a lot of fun options for seasonal decorations. This DIY pumpkin wreath is easy to make with kiddos and looks ADORABLE on a door. I made one a few years ago that is still going strong.
- Wood Pumpkins — I love to incorporate pumpkins into my fall décor, and these little adorable wooden pumpkins are really just too cute. Let your kids help you paint some scrap wood to create these little beauties!
- Gratitude Pumpkin — I am definitely going to have my family make one of these this year. Not only is this an easy craft to execute, it will also serve as a great reminder to be thankful throughout the entirety of the fall season.
- Dip-Dyed Pumpkin Garland — This craft is perfect for your mantle and you likely already have everything you need to make it, too!
- Marbled Paper Fall Leaves — Shaving cream crafts are always a soothing sensory exercise. These creations can be used to decorate the dinner table after they dry!
- Fall String Art — Older kids will love putting together this fun, fall string art craft that would be perfect for a table display!
- Painted Leaves and Twigs — These beautiful painted leaves and twigs are extremely easy to create and would really brighten up a fall table-scape.
- Fall Farmhouse Signs — If you have some extra unused picture frames lying around, then this craft is for you! (You can find similar frame options at the Dollar Tree, too.) Print out a cute holiday saying and Mod Podge it to your backing for a versatile piece to decorate with!
What’s your favorite fall craft to do with your family? We would love to know!
