Houston Moms recently got to experience all the fun for ourselves at the brand new Woodlands location of Game Show Battle Rooms. We took a group of 15 and had an absolute blast battling it out. Our group included adults, kids, and teens, ranging from ages 9-16, and I can confidently say that everyone truly enjoyed themselves.

When we arrived, we checked in and ordered some drinks. Then we were divided into teams by our game show host and made up silly names for ourselves that we wrote onto name tags. We lined up and funneled into the Game Show arena. It was absolutely dazzling- there were bright lights, music, and a huge screen- it felt like we were in an actual game show!

We were in just one of the battle rooms, “PrimeTime Showdowns.” But there is also another room available with a whole different series of games- “Classic Showdowns.” The games were fast paced but also easy to understand for even the youngest of our crew. We all were given the chance to answer questions and participate as we battled it out for the ultimate glory. Our first game was sort of like Family Feud. Our second game was like The Newlywed game and included a giant interactive tic tac toe board to keep score. Our final game included Minute to Win it type games with bouncing balls and flipping buckets. The games and questions can be tailored to your group based on age ranges.

Our game show hosts were lively and entertaining. They kept everything flowing and even managed to remember all of our hilariously fake names! When the games were over, after about an hour of play, one team was awarded the huge trophy for a photo opp and general bragging rights. Of course, we all had to get in on the fun.

Party On!

Game Show Battle Rooms was the perfect spot for our fun Saturday afternoon with family and friends. It would make a fantastic birthday party! They offer catering options as well and have both alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks available on site for purchase. While they can easily accommodate groups anywhere from 6-72 people, larger group sizes can also be accommodated. They also even offer an off-site “roadshow” version of their game show where they can bring the life sized props to any venue. They’ll set it all up and perform for larger groups, family functions, or even corporate gatherings.
