Houston Moms on the Move with Kory Blum

Houston Moms on the Move is a video/podcast series by Houston Moms, celebrating the stories of extraordinary Houston moms who inspire, encourage, and challenge us. Each episode features a high-profile mom from the community who balances the demands of work, family, and motherhood with grace and determination.

Houston designer and mom of four Kory Blum has spent years turning temporary houses into true homes while raising daughters, navigating life in baseball, and quietly building a thriving design studio of her own. In this episode of MoM, she sits down with Meagan to talk about the faith that carried her through a high-risk pregnancy, the village that made survival possible, and the boundaries that kept motherhood at the center even as her business grew.

Kory opens up about what it was really like raising four girls under three, how she found steadiness in the chaos of baseball life, and why she believes everyday rituals {car rides, dinner together, quiet moments at the end of the day} shape our kids more than anything else.

Whether you’re deep in the trenches with little ones or navigating the fast, emotional rhythms of the teen years, this conversation is a heartfelt reminder that motherhood is built in the small moments. And that you deserve the same care you give everyone else.

Meagan Clanahan
Meagan is a Dallas native who has lived in the Katy area for almost two decades. She kicked a soccer ball all the way to Louisiana to attend college at her family’s alma mater of LSU, where she promptly fell in love with a Texas Aggie in Baton Rouge for an internship. After swimming back to Texas following Hurricane Katrina, Matt and Meagan fell in love with the Houston area and now couldn’t imagine living anywhere else. Following several years of infertility, their miracle twins Ryan and Quinn were born in June of 2010. She believes there is nothing better than a chilled glass of Pinot Grigio, a large Sonic Diet Coke, sushi take-out, Girls Nights Out, and a mindless book to curl up with. Besides playing chauffeur and catering to the whims of her children, Meagan also is the Co-Owner of Houston Moms. You can keep up with Meagan on Instagram, @meaghtx!
